Well here's the trip report..... Picked up the MZ in Raleigh North Carolina, NOT as described to a point, as expected I supose. Ran flawless through out the trip. Hit the Tail of the Dragon Sunday, as I spent ALL Saturday trying to get there because the airline gave away our connecting flight and layed my flight over night. Grrrr, So, I normally ride an '83 Suzuki 1100ESD that is cam, carbed and piped, I am used to being king of the straights and slow in the curves, while grinding off bits and wobbling about. Not the MZ. I could not beleive the lean angles the MZ iz capable of, I tucked in my elbows!!! (not really) GREAT ride, had my brother in tow on his Victory Knig Pin and a buddy on a Valkery with a CAR TIRE on the rear. He was haveing a blast giving chase to me on that monster. Well I came across a few Sportbikes and gave chase, I finally passed one, the FZR6 and went after the CBR6. Well The cornering speed increased and the 4cyl bikes found their lean angle limits and I was just getting into it. The CBR started to do dangerous stuff to stay ahead and I let the 2 go and waited for my brother and friend. Not wanting to be in, cause of OR be implicated in a wreckless driving accident. I waved at them and cruised the rest.
After the rides on Sunday, Monday I headed home with a camara/phone full of video and pics. Well my phone/camara committed suicide and lept from its holster(used it for afew years and not an issue till NOW) @ 80mph and GONE!!! sob. Well I have a few shots that I had sent out and 2 from "killboy photo" . The rest of the 1799 mile ride went well till my ATM/Visa card was shut off by the bank and I was stranded in Nebraska... Fixed that and by the time I arrived home, EVEN with a Loobman, the chain and sprockets were destroyed. Well they were ~ 8k miles old to start, and I made 3 adjustments along the way. Loved the MZ, smooth at 75-80 (for a single) and I'm 6'2" and the pegs were set high and the bars were not the adjustable clip ons but it was good for a fuel tank at a time. Ah, pics....
