the axle on the rotor side is threaded into the fork leg
soak it good with a penetrating oil and the other side also

sounds to me like some one put it together cross threaded or with a burred thread on the axle
if its bunged up too much you may be looking for a new axle and fork leg bottom
good luck
dave

mine is a bit of a fuss getting the axle started when replacing the wheel

I ended up buying a new EBC rotor ( 619rs) off of ebay.com and payed my shop $35 to change it out. Looks great and works great, problem solved. only problem is I can't put the magnet for my speed sensor inside the bobbins like i could with the original. So I need to find a way to use the mechanical speed sensor again,

anyone know if an older 2:1 harley speedo will work? If so, which one?
