Camping in Yellow Stone with the MZ Traveller.

Postby Namikuz » Tue Aug 14, 2012 10:30 pm

Well, I've had another adventure on the Traveller. Camping in Yellow Stone National park. (aka, JELLYSTONE!!!) All 3 of my brothers and a close family friend, like a brother, came in from all over the USA. 2 came in from Indiana, and 1 each from New Mexico, California and my parents came in from Oregon. We all met up at my place in Salt Lake City Utah, and rode up in to Jelleystone for camping, site seeing and just FUN!!!!
We spent 3 days and had a BLAST!!!! ( nobody died!!!) We went on a secnic ride called the "figure 8" and got to see LOTS of wild life ( and animals too!!!) Main course in the mountains were "Trailer Queen" Harley Davidsons. Far too many bikes that have WAAAYYYYY to much money in to them. most seemed to ride 15~ish miniutes at a time and PARK for an hour.... Not us. We were nearly non stop from site to site. Walked around "Old Faithful" and even got to see a gyser that goes off BIGGER that Old Faithful though not on a predictable schedule like Old Faithful.... The schedule states "Every 7 hours to 10 days" We got lucky!!!! GREAT trip to and from. On the way back down the twisty mountain, I "played" with an Subaru WRX through the turns. Straights were a different story..... BUH BYE!!! He was gone......

The MZ JUST devoures the miles so effortlessy. Even with the Sport bars and Pegs set high (Im 6'2" tall) cruizing at 75-80 ish, I managed 42mpg and at 60 = 65 I managed 51MPG!!! (slight tail wind at 51mpg though)
I have pics posted in my album, feel free to stop in and have a LOOK!!!

If and when you do, you can stop in to Salt Lake and visit. Plenty of room. All the kids are gone and we have 4 spare bed rooms and an extra kitchen and bath, the basement is an entire house. PLENTY o room. Or wait till I get back out that way and we can CRUZ the MZs...... LOVING the Traveller........HASTA!!!
