I managed to get the Kanuni ETZ251 engine into the frame, spent some time cleaning the carb, put on the wiring loom, etc and it started first kick!
I now want to change the gearbox oil - should be a simple task but I wanted your advice.
There are two drain plugs under the engine - are they both for the gearbox?
I think I need SAE90 oil for the gear box?
How much do I put in? The Haynes manual talks about a level hole by the clutch on a 150 & a 250 - but I'm unsure about a ETZ?
thanks

Stuart.
Only the large bolt nearest the exhaust is a gearbox drain, the other is the gear selector detent spring, ball bearing, holder, do not undo this.
The lower clutch casing screw, below the gearchange lever is the drain for the clutch side of the gearbox, oil level is the screw behind the gear lever.
SAE 75/80 GL4 light gear oil

Watch out for "friction modifiers" in some oils, as these will cause your clutch to slip.

Silkolene light gear oil is what all the racers use, and its not overly expensive.
