Hello, among some other projects, i am restauring this motorcycle. It was apparently in good shape, but while dismantling everything comes up...here are some pics:

I have other photos but a hard drive recently let me down and i lost most of my work.
Can anyone show or tell me how this is supposed to look? It´s been a while since i closed this engine, can´t recall if there was an outside nut and locking washer, it would be easier to just look at another one and once this engine is running i can adjust it.

If you're wrapping a loom with tape can I suggest the self amalgamating type. I've always found that insulation tape turns nasty as the glue breaks down over time. Self amalgamating tape has no glue as such, it bonds to itself. Also known as PIB tape ( that's poly-isobutylethylene to it's friends!) a bit more expensive, but looking at the effort you are putting in worth it.

Thanks, i´ll look for it, i was thinking about using that black one that feels like cloth to wrap the ends.

Almost finished the wiring, stop light and rear turnsignals are next.
Had to make a new speedometer locker.

There is a nut and locking washer on the other end ( clutch side) but nothing on this side
ES250 Doppelport, ES250, ES250/1, ES250/2,ETS 250, ES150, ETS150, BK350, IWL Pitty, SR56 Wiesel, SR59 Berlin, Troll............ and thats just the German two strokes!

By any chance to you have any photos of a similar engine? I really am forgetting a lot, there is no way i can remember how i left this engine on the inside, the pics i had to remember later what to finish are gone.

My ETS is 30 miles away but I will try to find some pictures from another site

That was quicker than I thought! Heres a few pictures from iwl-motorroller-forum.de , Its from a IWL Berlin engine but they are based on the same unit

That screwdriver´s end got me confused, thanks again. How common is it to seal the top with silicon to avoid leaks on these engines?

I usually stick some sealant over it, just to try to keep as much gearbox oil where it belongs!

Hello again everyone, i havent finished the bike, but it´s close :D

I need some help about the center stand springs:

Can anyone tell me what part number spring i need to add there, so that the stand will stay in its position once closed? It just hangs now.... this spring is new but not enough to pull it back up.

That`s a fine looking bike! The centre stand spring part no is 13-21.177, same as for the ES and TS. Length is approx 105mm. The problem might be this bit (A), which is not original.The spring should hook on here (B)
