Please post a pic of air screw and spring

Postby Srinath » Sat Nov 03, 2012 8:37 pm

Could someone post a pic of their air mix screw and the spring its got ...
I lost my spring a few months ago, ended up with a screw I could not remove and finally managed to get it out and am fitting a spring on to it - a spring I have lying round, except I dont know how long it is.

Thanks.
Srinath.

It needs to be short enough to allow the screw to go in, to bottom out where it should, so you can count the number of turns out.

The diagram of the carb might help, you could compare the length of the spring to the length of the screw...and i think i might have it in my gallery...if i could find my gallery. :-/

Here's a picture of mine. By the way, I have the entire intake system: carbs, boots, new air filter, cables, air box, manifolds, off a 2002 Bagi with 2,000 miles on them. $100 plus shipping. Or if you are ever in N FL, just pick them up. The air filter alone cost me around $50 with shipping.

Harold:
That pic helps a lot ... the spring came off a katana carb rackand I need to stretch it a wee bit, its just past the top of the threads.
Now baggy parts fit skorpion ? I do need an air filter ... however I want to make sure my bike even runs and doesn't have a bigger issue.
I'll let you know soon.
Cool.
