stupid boy pike! Slightly mislead here as previous owner mentioned possible battery drain when standing, put meter between pos bat & bat lead and registered 35 ma, something of a drain - could have been a problem. Disconnected all components individually no difference apart from removing 20a fuse dropped it to sub 20 ma, so roughly half the loom has 18ma each, moving loom about caused fluctuating reading but marginal. Thinking moisture/tracking at this point, until I read the meter properly (new to me meter)............0.35ma
needless to say I get a higher reading between the dirty rubber carb manifold and neg terminal than that.
So, sorry looks like I don't have that problem after all. Hope you get a similar simple result. Like the connector Idea though Dave, Thanks, and I will use that, hopefully will reduce battery flattening in off use periods.
