Like an apocaplyptic fleeing of MZ riders... LOL! Ok, a bit much, I know, but I'm pretty excited about my "thrashed" Baghira, and can't wait to see what a gem I can make of it...

well.... we are here but as time goes on... so does the mystic and the memory of MZ dwindle.

I remember my MZ's as real honest, simple motorcycles - just what motorcycles are supposed to be.
At least in the USA, unless it has 160hp, or is is Harley, it just didn't get any press -thus the demise of MZ.

So we are here, waiting, hoping, maybe in vain, for the next generation. Of course there are plenty of MZ's out there still running and they will never completely go away, but until something major changes - things here will continue to be "quiet".

I'm getting ready to drop the site from my daily bookmarks list as well but will continue to check back from time to time and post the progress of my Skorpion build. I'm calling it the Cafe Rocket.

chopped the silencer in half and used the end with the least pipework in it and bolted back together.
mz 2 into 1 section a good fit to the link pipe and sort of ends up roughly where the bsm pipe fits so used all the standard rubber mounts as well :smt023

I still check this forum most every day, but ususally no one has a problem that I know anything about. There were 2 Buell forums, and the smaller one dwindled away to where people were just posting funny videos and such. The other one still gets 20-40 posts a day, at least. I sold my Buell a month ago, and am down to just the Baggie.

i think he got tired of answering questions over too many times
because people do not use the search box
in the upper right of the screen
before asking a question

plus he may be busy with fixing musical instruments which is his trade

some of what he works on are very complex and made of wood

Funny,

I have a Buell XB12 and a baggy too! Lol! There are two very active Buell forums--they don't seem to be dying much...

I have lots of plans for my MZ--I already started the deep cleaning, and am going to addres some glaring issues first (ignition switch is buggered-up, front fender is cracked, seat mount is missing, etc. I've ordered a new 15t front sprocket, retaining washer, an AGM battery, and a KTM WP rear shock (mine had been swapped for an older Mastiff shock). But it's a great looking bike otherwise, and I can't wait to wheelie the crap out of it, jump off some curbs, and rail through the local twisties...

I check this site everyday as well as my Guzzi site. Rhino, it's great to see your enthusiasm over your new bike. I use my Baghira as my "Cul-de-sac Carver"!
I'm proud of my MZ and will continue to check in daily, and hope everyone else will too :!:
