It's complete and runs great after carb fettling but oh dear it's had amateur electricians at it and the dreaded green fungus in the loom

The problems include a butchered instrument light loom, various cables cut and half removed etc. neutral light switch lead in the main loom seems to be replaced with a different colour and although I've found one back current diode (green furry and shorting) internally in the loom the second one is hiding? Only problem is I found a badly joined lead near the diode I have found and I wonder if the second has been cut out........ Has anyone experience of replacing these and if so what spec are they? any clues as to the location of the second would be great too. I don't think it is terminal as all electrics work with the exception of the instrument panel & rev counter. Have read loads on the "reliabilty" of the tacho's but will address that once the main wiring is sorted. A replacement loom would be lovely of course but I daren't ask for a price, was quoted £192 for a tacho, don't think I'll bother
