Postby stephenh » Mon Apr 22, 2013 2:06 pm

Hi all
I have been struggling to find the correct grade engine oil {15/50} according to my manual,i was wondering if it would be safe to use 20/50 in the engine,i cant think of any reason why not{but that doesn't mean there isn't} any help much appreciated. cheers steve :?:

i use shell Rotella 20w50 in mine

some use Castrol racing oils
make sure what ever it is its not tooo slick for wet clutch use

AND always shut off the rotax motor with the compression release then turn off the key switch
to save the starter sprag
if motor tries to run backward against compression it is hard on it
