Skorpion 660 Sport Electrical Issue

Postby maxknuckles » Fri Jun 21, 2013 10:47 pm

I bought this sport cup a couple weeks ago and has been running like a champ, but today out of no where it stopped working. I tried to turn the bike on and the lights wont turn on and the engine wont even make a noise when the starter button is pressed. I tested my batter and even tried to jump start it and nothing happened. My battery is completely fine also. It is not the kick stand button that is being pressed in and still wont do anything.

I think after reading it might be a blown fuse? but I cant seem to locate a fuse box anywhere. In the online owners manual it says it is under the rear seat but I see nothing. I have only tried looking with both seats off.

Any help would be great!

Dave is correct as usual...fuse that may have blown is the 15 amp one. There are 3 fuses in the holder, the 15 is in the middle
I think..the kill switch is marked Run and Off (I think) and is by the throttle on the right handle bar.(but,,,,even tho the kill switch may be off, the lights should come on ) ( this keyboard is really messing up))

i can't fix your keyboard
but i did edit the errors DAVE

Thanks guys! It was the fuse! The fuse box was hard to find because it was covered with a black rubber cover.

Now if it blows again, then the fun begins......I had a chafed wire in my left rear turn signal that would blow the signal fuse as soon as the signal was activated......

15 amp fuse = blown fuse next time some thing shorts out
30amp fuse = lots of smoke and maybe flame

trust me i have been at the electrical stuff for about 60 years
and MZ made that a 15 amp fuse because that was all it needed

30 amp WAY too much...like Dave has stated,BURN BABY BURN!!!!! heavy wire ok,but put in a 15amp and be done till next time..could be just age,but mine is a 96 and has never(jinx coming)blown that fuse........hving said that,I have replaced all and cleaned up the wiring anyway a few years back......
