Skorpion Sport Rear Light

Postby iktank » Sun Jul 14, 2013 2:32 am

usual rear light falling to pieces problem on the Skorpion Sport
I have read that the rear light from Ducati 7500or 900ss will fit (years 91 - 98)
- has anyone actually fitted this as a replacement?
- is it tapered like the original or just oblong?
- Any idea on cost for full light unit?

Otherwise I was looking at using Lucas style taillight which appears slightly smaller than the original and I can do for about £12

Which is prefered by fellow sport owners

it is the same light as on the Ducati. Many, many have refit with it.
There are also diode tail light of the same form factor that of course fit.

Thanks Bill

I have been googling for ages trying to find Ducati Light for the 900ss, looks like production for these have been stopped. Do you have a link for the aftermarket led/diode one, again been googling for ages :(

Many thanks

The Lucas stlye works great, and looks good too...over here in US they are available for about $13...made by Emgo...they have a METAL frame so they will not fall to pieces...
Mine has been on for about 4 years with no issues...some spacers may need to be made to project it out the back end,but thats nothing to fret about...only 2 wires, ground is frame...

This one is the same dimensions as my Traveller tail light. It's not installed yet but I just compared the distance between the mounting bolts and it's a perfect match. These lights fit many different models of Ducati so it shouldn't be a problem finding other options if you don't want the diode type light.
