hi guys ...got a minor problem ...had an oil leak which has steadily got worse ....turns out its leaking from where the generator cables come out of the left side casing ...there is a moulded rubber bung around the wires which acts as a seal between the side casing and the main engine case ..the rubber is cracking up and passing oil ....i tried a little bit of silicone to seal up the bung but without much success .....anyone come accross this before and have a magic answer ? ......
cheers daz , s.wales uk ...(mz baghira 660 ) ..

Putting silicone on the outside won't stop the leak. You'll have to open her up and see how bad that rubber piece is. If it's salvageable, clean everything off with a good solvent and apply some sealant around and under the piece in question. You'll probably need a new case gasket as well. It's an easy job.
