Carb mod question?

Postby edfmaniac » Mon Sep 09, 2013 3:26 pm

While looking for any possible fuel restriction locations in the carb set up, I noticed that not much fuel can flow through the tiny little fitting connecting the bowl on the left carb to the jet on the CV side. Considering I've looked at just about every other reason that I'm not able to get the engine rich enough, I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge on the matter. Seems like you could drill out the brass fittings a half mm or so if the other pathways molded into the bowl can flow enough to make use of it.

There was a guy in Washington state who ran a pipe from the left bowl to the right carb, and used brass pipe fittings to attach to the main jet right side. I am in UK right now minimal. Access to this site,
I think his handle in omra91 on here. He also built a 660 powered tz 250

Turns out that the inside diameter of those fittings is over 2mm. I think you could go up to something like a 215 or 220 before having to worry about restriction from the fittings.
