If a 5" diameter pulley will slide onto the countershaft sprocket and not hit anything, we are home free. A 14mm gates pulley cant be turned any tighter than the 28 tooth they make, that is 4.5" ID, 4.91" OD ... put that bugger on and all the rest is eyeballing and fitting up. Its an idea to put the wheel far back as we can, and get a belt, and set the ratio's to what you want but set it lower than original ... but you can add a tooth or 2 and move the wheel forward and still ahve the same front and belt.
I'll hobble around to the MZ when I can hobble ... and measure this bugger ...
I've been breaking my head on the wrong bike for belt drive ... the GS500 (almost the same proportions as the skorpion, but a wholly crappier one ...
The suzuki morons, put the clutch push rod on the chain side, like 1/2" from the sproket ...
... they could have set it on the right side ... where the clutch actually is ... only worked for every bike before the GS500 ...
Cool.
