Brembo p32f for Baghira - Does it fit!!!

Postby roloscotusa » Wed Apr 03, 2013 10:25 am

Hi,

The rear Grimeca caliper has died on my Baghira. I reach out to Graham's to buy a rebuild kit. They informed that MZ does not have the parts anymore and secondly Grimeca has gone out of business. So the sensible option would be to find alternative caliper that is commonly available.

From reading the forum, it seems like the Brembo p32f is direct replacement for the original MZ equipment. Please can you someone confirm this to be true because I cannot seem to find a definitive answer on this.

Many thanks,

M

Sorry I did not see the responses to my post. You are right the Brembo p32f does not fit; so that wasted sometime and money. Graham's did manage to source some seals for the rear caliper but no dust seal; so I should be good for now. This is going to be a growing problem because both Grimeca and MZ are now out of business. According to Graham's, they are not sure what is going to happen to spares situation. Ian at Graham's mentioned that the guy that he has been dealing with at MZ was given his notice. He did mention that there were rumours that MZA in Germany is considering buying the spares from MZ.

I have a 660 baggy 2001 and need to know how to find a rear brake caliper that works on that bike. The Grimeca caliper is shot so I need to replace it with one that works and fits in its place. Please advice

OUCH jack ,
I think if no one has the right answer he'll wait alot longer,,unless he buys it ,tries it , makes the relevant bracket to retro fit it and then reports it here for the next generation,
