Hello everyone, I just joined this forum today and look forward to advice and knowledge on the MZ Skorpion Sport Cup I have acquired. I have had this bike sitting in my garage awaiting the day I start bringing it back to life. I was in for a home renovation that took my attention away and the time is near for this project. I don't know much about this bike and the very first problem I encounter is parts, identification, and location. The bike is not running at this time, has frozen carbs, and apparently a oil leak I have not located. There are also some broken plastics I'll need to replace and the tail light is has a missing lens. The suspension in the rear seems squishy with my weight and I believe it's due for some fork seals. I have come to understand the engine is a 660 Yamaha engine but that is the extent of knowledge in that department. I would like to restore this machine to as close to original with only some minor changes, I.E. I am willing to improve upon but not drastically deviate. I would like to change the color of the bike but I am familiar with cars and this is my first bike project, how do you remove the I.D. plate on the frame without destroying it? I am going to need a lot of help with this project, I hope I've found the right place to start! Thank you in advance!
