I'm in the process of tidying up my ETZ250 and want to remove the swingarm for painting. The manual mentions a mandril to replace the swingarm bolt when doing this.
As I don't have one, what do others use instead or can it just be knocked out and refitted easily enough without it?
Obviously the wheel, shocks etc will be removed.

I'll stick my neck out.
Some sort of mandrel would be useful in aligning the swing arm to more easily locate the pivot pin/bar so as to save any unwanted movement from positive alignment thereby possibly causing damage to the eyes on the swing arm. Something just a little smaller in diameter to the pivot pin would suffice.

The mandrel is for the bushes and not the bolt. (I think). but Derek is also correct.

With a little spare time on my hands I thought I better start spraying/soaking the swing arm nuts etc with some plus gas. The original swingarm is pretty grotty which doesn't bode well for the swing arm bolt.
However, it turns out the bolt is the only shiney thing on the ETZ as it is stainless steel! Hopefully it will come out a lot easier because of this.
As a bonus my replacement swingarm arrived (cheers Eric), and 20mins with the drill and wire brush had the rust all sorted. I think it would have been a whole day spent on the original.
I'm keeping the well used look, so it will be a simple rattle can job to make it presentable.
