Replacing Electronic rev counter lens ETZ251

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of replacing the plastic lens on the square bodied electronic rev counter on the ETZ models? Mine is cracked. There are replacement rev counter housings out there, but the rev counter module appears to be bonded or welded into the housing, preventing dismantling.
