This is gonna sound pathetic to all of you.
Bought this bike for my daughter last year, she hardly rode it. Now I'm gonna ride it on a 1600 mile charity ride next week !!!! That's the length of Great Britain and back home again.
Can't find any information on this bike on line apart from the 2 stroke oils. ..
Does anyone know:
1. How do you check the oil level?
2. Does it have an oil filter...if so where?
3. What's best grade of oil to put in the engine?
As I said ....pathetic that I can't even find a dipstick or glass bubble window!

Simon,
the ETZ is a 2-stroke, meaning that the lubrication of the transmission/gearbox/clutch is separate from that of the cylinder/piston/crankshaft. The transmission oil is checked via a screw on the left-hand side of the engine. If oil comes out it's OK, and it is EP80 gear oil, and the transmission has neither an oil pump nor an oil filter.
Your bike is however likely to have an oil pump for lubricating the cylinder/piston/crankshaft part of the engine, and then also an oil tank, below the left-hand side panel. That oil tank has a side glass and a dipstick; keep it full with good quality two stroke oil (not engine oil). The level will go down over time, maybe by 1 litre/1000 miles, so you may need to take two stroke oil with you for your trip.
Possibly it is a model without oil pump/ oil tank. Then you have to pre-mix two stroke oil into the fuel, typically 2%.
Enjoy your trip!

Thanks Puffs. Makes perfect sense. I knew about the 2 stroke oils tank. Just not the transmission oil... I'll look for that screw in the daylight

is the one Haynes indicates for the 125/150. Total volume is just 500cc.
