I am needing a new regulator and will probably be a solid state one.
Do I need to keep the wire resistor coil in the dynamo or just the 2 wires going down to the BRUSHES
Thank you

Hi richardh
I have with success installed a R81 VAPE on my MZ TS250 74'. Yes, the resistor have to go with this type of regulator. As Guesi correctly says it should be told in the installation guide following the regulator as it did with mine.

Thank you all
I've tried to look on that link but cannot see instructions for wiring in a new electronic regulator.
Hopefully there'll be instructions in the box

either the WASSELL reg or the little blue box - sorry don't know the name
they both have D+ DF Batt and earth
I know that my 150/1 has the wire resistor in the generator near the brushes - but just like to know if the electronic regulator does not need the wire resistor please
just uses the 4 wires from the regulator to brushes / battery and Earth
thank you
