Just trying to fit a new exhaust gasket to my TS250 - it did not have one fitted when I bought it.
The new one is made of copper and is a round section, the problem is that when I try and fit it the threaded collar only screws in about 2 turns and if I torque it up I am worried about stripping out the threads in the exhaust port.
Downpipe looks to be correct - it has a flared end, just wondering if the new gasket is too large in section.
Any thoughts ?

Think I may have found the problem.
Mine might have an ETZ collar - lookin on the web the ETZ collar looks longer than a TS250 collar.
Simple solution - reduce the length of my collar using the lathe.

Guesi - never knew that MZ originally never had an exhaust gasket, I thought that they were fitted to all bikes.
Shortened my collar by the way, and all goes together just fine now - with the gasket.
