Just wondering what is the correct method of removing these from the rubber housing I assume push up ?

Don't worry they just push up from the bottom with some force I just didn't want to break them .

has anyone any experience of changing the chrome bezel and renewing the glass on the speedo and rev counter? It looks like they might need to be levered off with a screwdriver but any advice from someone who's actually done it most welcome

Hi,
Yes you can with a small screwdriver slowly and carefully peel the bottom side edge up.

Is it good practice to say maybe grease the bottom part of the rev counter cable I understand we shouldn't lube near the rev counter.
