Tough Decision to be Made

I tonight find myself in the envious position of having a large number of bikes available for me to ride on a daily basis. I won't have to pay for anything, no petrol, no tyres, no maintenance, nothing. Nor will I incur any tax liabilities! Result, but one that is not without a big downside.

I will own bikes I no longer will be able to use regularly, so will need to sell two of three. Selling the scooter is no hardship-hate the thing with a passion, although it has been ultra reliable, and costs sod all to run.

But do I sell the Sport or the Baggi? TheSport is great, and so is the Baggi, but for different reasons. I also have a newly rebuilt and tuned engine-so do I put this in the Sport, the Baggi, or sell the engine seperately? Whatever one I sell, I will be loath to do so.
If I can keep both, I will, but it seems a waste to have bikes sitting around idle.

Any thoughts to ease my troubled brow?

1 1964 asm home made motorcycle has not ran since 1967(bought a yamaha ym1)
2 1953 r51/3 bmw had it since 1980 used 1985 to 1998
3 1960 r60/2 bmw chopper used as part bike
4 1963 r50s used 1975 to 2000 being rebuilt 2nd time
5 1970 r75/5 since 1980 on road 81 to 2001 doner for the new build a r75/2 for sidecar
6 1995 MZ saxon tour
7 2002 MZ rt125

8 wife has a yamaha sr250
9 and a amf moped

i keep them because if sold i could not afford the price if i wanted one of them back
so your not over stocked YET
on my wanted list more money
so i can add a 125 sm and a MZ Skorpion 660 Traveller
and finish the sidecar rig

an a clean K75rt would be nice but i have to stop some where

I really would like to keep them all (scooter excepted, but that's simply a tool to get me to and from work when no vans are available) but cannot justify it to myself-they will deteriote if left for any length of time (as has been the case with the works bikes).

At least the Baggi will get used as there are a number of SM rides here I will go on-Sunday SM runs (when not working), the NMRO and Corsica has been booked for 2007 already!

Bugger it-Sport for sale. Tuned & rebuilt motor to go in the Baggi (Baggi standard motor for big piston, gas flowed head and reprofiled cam). Maybe bling it up too. Slightly.

Definatly the way to go. Although the sport is a nice bike, there are not many occasions when it does anything the Baggi wont.
Slap thet big engine in teh Baggi and have fun and keep the old motor just in case

You know, I feel the same. I've been so busy with work lately that none of my bikes have seen the road, and I only have three! I could never get rid of one, though. I love them all. And that got me to thinking about them and their characteristics.....the more I thought about it the more they all reminded me of the wives from Big Love.

My Norton is my first wife, always there, my first love and still my greatest passion. My CB400f (the second wife) is steady, fun, reliable but a little boring. My Skorpion is the newest and youngest. She's hot, fun to ride and I can't wait to get her on the track, though we're stilll getting used to each other.

I guess I just have to face facts and own up to the truth. Guys, I'm a polygamist.

The problem with multiple bike ownership is that you can't really learn everything about one bike without having to learn something else about another bike!!

I have my GPZ1100s for sale in a local dealer http://www.a1motorcycles.co.uk and its given me more time for the Baggy - which is great!!

I still don't have enough time on it, but when I do, everything is in addition to what I learnt before, not a different thing to the GPZ!

If I am only to have one bike - the Baggy is the best choice!!

I have managed to keep hold of 4 bikes. The Baggi gets used the most, followed by the 1500 goldwing (going to the Netherlands on Thursday )followed by my 1980 Suzuki TS250 which is used for green laning and last of all, my GL1100 goldwing enduro.
Before you ask the GL1100 is c**p off road and you cant go down rutteed tracks because teh heads get stuck , but it makes people smile.

i would keep the mz rt125 just runs tooo sweet to let go

and the r75/2 with the side car

and i would do a lot of crying as i watched the rest go because most
have been in the family over 25 years and some 40 or more
